Thanksgiving 2007

The Grier house was full for Thanksgiving and a good time was had by all. There was plenty of food, wine, and silliness...all great things for which to be thankful. Dad came up from Cypress and showed us all his mad turkey-carving skills. Greg Miller and his friend Anna drove all the way in from New Orleans. The Whites came in from Dallas bearing wine and other deliciousness. (Thanks for the recipes, Jen. I'm looking forward to making sweet potato casserole and pumpkin tarts.) Buzz learned how to rice potatoes, and I tried (again) to make decent gravy. After dinner, some of us managed to take a walk around the block and were rewarded with free firewood to keep us toasty into the evening as we decorated the Christmas tree.
